Catalog Full Description

Students will prepare to work in early childhood settings (child care, preschool education and community education programs) and learn human development and cognitive skills associated with children from birth through age 8. Students interested in transferring to a four-year education program should consult with an academic counselor.

Complete ALL of the following Courses:

Program Electives (3 credits)

Earn at least 3 credits from the following:

General Education Requirements (9 credits)

Completion requirement

English/Communications (3 credits)

Recommended: ENG 100 or ENG 101

Must include a writing course

Earn at least 3 credits from the following:

*Writing Courses: Business 108, English 100, 101, 102, 107 or any other 200 level English class.

Mathematics (3 credits)

Recommended: MATH 120 or higher

Earn at least 3 credits from the following:

General Elective (3 credits)

Earn at least 3 credits

*HDFS 201 fulfills the Human Relations requirement.
